Job summary

Veolia Group in Cannock is seeking a Learning & Development leader to design and oversee training programs aligned with business goals. You will manage a small L&D team, develop leadership programmes, and coordinate UK Talent initiatives across the corporate unit.

The role demands strong instructional design, LMS experience, and excellent stakeholder engagement with senior leaders. The position is hybrid with regular travel to the Cannock office, offers a car/allowance, 25 days holiday, pension

Qualifications

  • Essential: Previous experience within a learning and development role with strong knowledge of learning principles and instructional design, including Talent Programmes.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and senior leadership stakeholder experience.
  • Experience with LMS and e-learning platforms; strong project management and organisational skills.

  • Manage and develop a team (1 L&D professional).

This will also include Talent Programmes for Leadership and our Corporate business unit. You will:Design and implement strategic L&D plans aligned with business objectivesManage and develop a team 1 L&D professionalCreate comprehensive learning strategies and manage training budgetsDevelop leadership programs and training contentEvaluate program effectiveness and measure training outcomesCoordinate the delivery of our UK Talent programmesCoordinate with our Corporate business unit heads to identify training needsEnsure compliance with required certificationsThis is a real opportunity to step into a leadership role, reporting to the Head of Learning and Development.
