People & Development Assistant

Central London (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

£28,000 - £35,000 DOE

A prestigious property and construction consultancy in Central London is looking for a proactive and well-organised People & Development Assistant to join their Early Talent team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with initial experience in HR, early careers, or learning & development to step into a hands-on role with real impact across graduate, apprentice, internship, and work experience programmes.The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and supporting the delivery of early talent recruitment and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sessions and logistics for the internal Chartership Academy and development programmes
  • Manage onboarding for early talent cohorts, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience
  • Act as a point of contact for early talent, line managers, and external training providers
  • Track participant progress, gather feedback, and support continuous improvement
  • Assist in the delivery of events, including assessment centres and networking sessions
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting for programmes and compliance purposes

About You

  • Some experience in HR / L&D or a relevant qualification
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Teams, Excel, Outlook)

Desirable

  • Familiarity with apprenticeship schemes and funding (e.g., Apprenticeship Levy)
  • Awareness of professional qualifications (RICS, APM, CIOB)
  • Experience supporting graduate or apprenticeship pathways
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
