This role will ensure all our people activities run smoothly to deliver a consistent employee experience and will actively partner with the UK Hotwire & ROI DNA leaders and managers to create an environment where all our people can be limitless. This role plays a key role on the UK Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting into the Chief People & Culture Officer.
NB: It is a 1-year fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
Accountabilities
Think about the end goal (Strategic Partner)
- Support the UK and P&C strategic planning process identifying short- and long-term talent implications
- Drive workforce and resource planning; supporting the execution of short- and long-term resource plans
- Support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function/business strategy
- Advise & lead on organisation design, execution of restructure plans and provide change management consultancy
- Lead a process that ensures that individual performance aligns to business performance; consistent and aligned individual target setting, monitoring and performance evaluation quarter on quarter and year on year
- Implement Enero, Group and Regional initiatives; feed into and support design when required
- Represent P&C and play an active role as part of the UK ELT and SLT, reporting on P&C initiatives and data, and providing strategic HR support where required
Grow and keep our people (Employee Champion)
- Produce talent development plans to meet capability requirements and support the business leaders to provide employees with development opportunities that enable them to meet current and future performance standards
- Monitor progress of learning transfer to workplace and level of capability improvement, planning corrective actions
- Identify capability gaps and development needs and plan functional training initiatives and priorities in line with annual plan
- Drive leadership, talent, and succession management activities within the UK enabling a local and global view of our most critical talent and strengthening our leadership bench
- Coach leadership and management, driving a culture where strong leadership and line management coaching permeates the organization, providing current, direct, complete, and “actionable” positive and corrective feedback to others
- Drive behavioral change in partnership with leaders, supporting the creation of a high-performance culture
- Develop and promote feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes
Make things stick (Change Agent)
- Manage specific P&C projects as determined in the Global and Local Talent priorities and participate in functional and cross-functional Talent initiatives
- Manage the internal communications related to strategic P&C initiatives within the function, providing compelling stories for individuals and the organization as a whole and enabling a clear understanding of ‘what’,’ why’, ‘how’ and ‘when’.
HR operations expert (Do the basics well)
- Oversee the employee lifecycle processes and work closely with the P&C team and business leaders to provide a consistent experience
- Advise and support leaders on key areas of Employee Relations
- Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to continuously contribute to the improvement of HR policies and initiatives; ensure the UK is fully compliant at all times
- Maintain a knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends
- Oversee and lead on all compensation and benefit processes for the UK, including the annual merit cycle
- Facilitate employee surveys; understand employee opinions, engagement drivers, and culture indicators and anticipate their needs and concerns
- Manage people data and reporting; works closely with the Global HRIS Coordinator to create monthly dashboards and management information reports
- Work with Global Chief People Officer to drive global projects and initiatives including reward strategies, integration initiatives, process improvement and employment programs.
