Job summary

Blue Cross is seeking a People & Culture Advisor on a 12-month maternity cover to support colleagues and managers across the organisation. You will provide expert guidance on HR matters, manage employee relations cases, and help implement HR policies while using data to drive improvements.

The role is based at our Burford site with hybrid working arrangements. You will work with the People & Culture Business Partners to deliver a joined-up service and contribute to a positive workplace

Qualifications

• Experience across the employee lifecycle in HR.
• Advising managers through ER cases including sickness absence, grievance, disciplinary and capability.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and strong administration.
• Proven ability to prioritise and organise multiple tasks in a busy role.
• IT literacy with MS Office, web-based platforms and databases.
• Willingness to demonstrate and apply Blue Cross values; CIPD Level 3 or working towards accreditation.
• Experience of working with volunteers in HR.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of employee relations matters.
• Coach and support managers through formal and informal processes.
• Provide expert advice on policies, procedures and best practice.
• Identify risks and help managers resolve issues.
• Support implementation and improvement of people policies.
• Analyse people data to spot improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Resourcing and People & Culture partners to deliver joined-up service.
• Promote an inclusive, values-led culture.
