People Business Partner – Workforce Development

About the role:

You will be responsible for:

  1. Designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive programme that equips managers with the skills and tools necessary to excel in their people management responsibilities. This role ensures that managers are held accountable for their performance in managing their teams and fostering a positive, productive work environment.
  2. Creating, implementing, and managing a coaching and mentoring programme that supports employee development and fosters a coaching culture across the service. This involves working closely with leaders, managers, and employees to promote coaching practices that enhance performance, engagement, and career growth.
About you:

We are looking for a focused, self-starting individual who is driven to influence change, with:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting to audiences at all levels, writing reports, business cases, and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a positive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability and skills to design and deliver reward & recognition programmes.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Great customer service and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • The ability to work confidently within a busy team and interact with individuals in a friendly, courteous manner, demonstrating tolerance in their approach.
Qualifications required:
  • Degree-level education and/or extensive experience within the learning and development field.
  • Award in Education and Training (AET) (PTLLS), working towards or prepared to achieve.
  • Level 5 Coaching or equivalent level of experience.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English.
Experience required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and workforce development.
  • Experience of implementing and delivering successful partnership projects with internal and external partners.
  • Experience managing training procurement processes.
  • Experience coaching and supporting managers.
The Package:
  • Full-time – 37-hour week.
  • Fixed-term contract – 9 months.
  • Good annual leave entitlement.
  • Employee benefits, including Employee Assistance Programme and Occupational Health.
