Qualifications

Job Overview

Do you want to be at the centre of the People function, supporting managers from across the business with varied and interesting queries?

People Assistant

22.5 hours per week

Based in Morley

In 2025, we will be launching a new central People team that will provide a one-stop advice centre for all our colleagues across the business. This will be the hub of customer service, support, and guidance on HR, Recruitment, and Learning & Development matters.

This means no day will ever be the same!

Your role will be to work in partnership with colleagues, Managers, and the wider People team to provide high-quality, comprehensive support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will participate fully in projects and activities of the People team. One minute you could be calling a candidate to offer them a new job; the next, supporting a manager to run an essential report.

To be considered for the role, we are looking for someone experienced in using all Microsoft packages and able to learn IT systems quickly. This role involves working across a minimum of three online systems, so adaptability and quick learning are essential.

Stakeholder Engagement

Build positive relationships across the business with colleagues and managers.

Employee Relations

Assist with HR queries, resolve concerns, and escalate complex issues as needed.

Challenging Moments

Provide person-centred guidance on employee issues in collaboration with the People team.

Life Events

Manage documentation and records related to employee lifecycle events.

Performance Management

Support managers and teams with performance processes and documentation.

Data-Driven Insights

Maintain and analyze data to support decision-making.

Service Delivery

Deliver a consultancy-style People service, ensuring standards and continuous improvement.

Recruitment

Support recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and reference processes.

L&D

Coordinate training sessions, manage LMS, and provide L&D advice.

HR

Support processes like leave, DBS, right to work, and salary changes.

Projects

Participate in ad-hoc projects and working groups.

Person Specification
Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced functions in Word, Outlook, Excel.
