Job description

Job Description:

In this role, you will be working as part of the People Support Team to provide advice and guidance on key employee performance and conduct scenarios, ensuring legal, regulatory, and policy compliance and advocacy. Your goal will be to mitigate business risk and ensure fairness in processes and practices, leveraging sound employment law knowledge, building strong relationships with managers, and gaining colleagues' trust to foster a high-performance, employee-valued culture.

The People and Culture Advisor role involves implementing initiatives across the entire employee lifecycle, supporting People and Culture Partners, specialists, and the broader business. This includes owning key projects, identifying trends, and using data insights to support performance improvements.

What you will be doing:
  • Manage employee relations caseloads, coaching managers and employees through informal and formal processes to ensure fairness, consistency, and timely outcomes.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Support the delivery and integration of key People and Culture projects and workstreams.
  • Collaborate with other People Team specialists to shape and embed offerings effectively within the business.
  • Support practices that foster a high-performance and engaged culture, recognizing talent.
  • Stay updated with sector best practices and legal changes, sharing insights to improve policies and practices.
  • Challenge team cultures and behaviors to ensure alignment with the Team’s Identity.
  • Ensure diversity and inclusivity are integrated into all activities.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience as an HR Advisor, HRBP, or Employee Relations Specialist, preferably in a technical, operational, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance setting with ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of Employee Relations and UK employment law; familiarity with US and German employment law is a plus.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives in a growing or evolving business.
  • Numerical competence with experience in producing management information and trend analysis for stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and emerging trends.
  • Degree preferred and CIPD qualification at level 5 or above, or equivalent experience.
