About Our Opportunity

Are you passionate about people and creating meaningful workplace experiences? EMR is seeking a proactive People Advisor to support our People Team. This role involves supporting staff, enhancing engagement, and shaping our company culture as one of the UK’s leading metal recyclers.

What You Will Be Doing

As a People Advisor, you will:

  • Manage casework related to performance, absence, and grievances
  • Support employee engagement and foster an inclusive environment
  • Handle employee relations issues with fairness
  • Partner with managers to identify training needs and develop plans
  • Deliver training and coach managers on HR practices
  • Use data insights for workforce planning
  • Ensure policies are legally compliant and effectively applied

Every day, you'll influence how colleagues feel, grow, and succeed at EMR.

About You

You should bring energy, empathy, and expertise, including:

  • Level 5 CIPD qualification (or equivalent) and solid knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience in a generalist HR role with case management
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability
  • A passion for continuous improvement and development
  • Experience with HR data systems and insights
  • Valid UK Driving License for site visits 2-3 times per week
