Job summary

About the role

Sitting as a key part of the People Team you will support the monthly payroll process and assist with the administration of the company’s benefits offering.

With a keen eye for detail, you will help ensure payroll activities run smoothly and in line with legal, regulatory and internal policies. You will also respond to general HR queries, employee payroll and benefits queries all whilst helping to deliver a positive and consistent employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support in the accurate administration of monthly UK payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations and employment law.
  • Updating and maintain information within both our HR and Payroll software solutions.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records in compliance with HMRC and company requirements.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll and employee benefit queries, ensuring a high-quality service experience and escalating queries appropriately where required.
  • Working with our Senior Advisor to look after the administration of workplace pension schemes, ensuring compliance with The Pensions Regulator.
  • Support in the admin of our full suite of employee benefits including pensions, private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, and salary sacrifice schemes.
  • Support month-end and year-end processes.
  • Responding in a timely manner to general hr queries through various inboxes.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and company policies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Health & Safety
  • Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.
  • Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
  • When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.
Qualifications
  • Working towards or a desire to complete CIPD on CIPP level 3 is desirable but not essential.
Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills, confident in working with data.
  • Proactive, approachable, confident with good interpersonal skills enabling you to speak to and deal with all stakeholders
  • Confident user of Excel
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Able to manage sensitive information whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality

Desirable:

  • A basic knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and pension auto enrolment
  • Experience using payroll and or HR systems
Personal Attributes
  • Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to commit to occasional national and international travel.
  • A full valid UK driving license.
  • Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK.
