Job summary

Discovery Schools Trust is seeking a motivated People Admin Team Leader to head the People Administration team, ensuring high-quality service across our schools and central teams.

This permanent, full-time role leads recruitment, onboarding, contracts, payroll administration and data integrity, while developing people and improving processes and systems. You will oversee workloads and deliver accurate management information.

Salary: Grade 10, Pay Point Range 23-26, £35,451 - £39,165

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Contract Type: Permanent

We're looking for a motivated and organised People Admin Team Leader to lead our People Administration team and ensure our schools and central teams receive a responsive, high-quality and customer-focused service.

This brand new role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people, improving processes, data and systems and making sure things run smoothly. You'll provide day-to-day leadership to a team that supports recruitment, onboarding, contracts, compliance, payroll administration, compliance and people systems, helping to deliver a positive experience for colleagues and leaders across the Trust.

As People Admin Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the People Administration team, you’ll take the lead on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data and systems, help shape our people metrics to support data led decisions, and drive continuous process improvement activity.

You’ll oversee workloads, provide guidance and support to team members, and work closely with schools and colleagues to ensure their needs are met.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll combine people management with operational delivery, helping the team provide an excellent service while identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

As People Team Admin Leader, you will
  • Leading, motivating and developing the People Administration team
