Job Description:

Team Penske is seeking a full-time Penske Gallery Host to create memorable guest experiences at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum's Penske Gallery. The role involves engaging visitors with the exhibits, artifacts, and themes, working closely with staff and volunteers to ensure the space is engaging and well-maintained. The host will develop in-depth knowledge of the exhibits and the museum to answer questions and facilitate meaningful conversations, enhancing visitors' understanding and appreciation of Team Penske and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Additionally, the host will gather guest feedback and report insights to the Gallery Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Guest Engagement & Interpretation: Interact with guests to understand their interests, answer questions, and connect conversations with displayed items and interactive elements to foster personal connections.
• Gallery Monitoring: Keep the space clean and presentable, ensure artifacts are protected, and report any issues or questions to the Coordinator.
• Necessary Knowledge: Gain expertise in Team Penske history and IMS, including the Indy 500.
• Schedule: Full-time position requiring at least 30 hours/week, including weekends and after-hours events, with regular attendance at the museum.

Physical Demands:

• Stand, walk, kneel, or sit for extended periods during duties.
• Work on a computer for long durations.
• Lift light to moderate weights (11-35 lbs.).
• Exposure to moderate to heavy noise and flashing lights in certain areas.
