Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Scottish-qualified Pensions Solicitor (1-4 PQE) to join a leading Edinburgh team. You will handle a broad spectrum of pensions matters for trustees and employers, funded by a strong reputation in the UK market.

The role offers exposure to governance, funding, transactions and contentious work within a national pensions practice. You will develop under senior lawyers in a collaborative Edinburgh office with hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Scottish Qualified Solicitor with 1-4 PQE in pensions
• Commitment to building a long-term career within Pensions
• Experience advising trustees, employers or pensions stakeholders
• Strong drafting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication with a client-focused approach
• Commercially minded and well organised
• Ambitious, collaborative and keen to develop within a market-leading team

Responsibilities

• Work with highly regarded pensions specialists on a broad range of sophisticated matters for trustees and employers
• Advise on scheme governance, funding, restructuring, transactions and wider advisory matters
• Gain exposure to group pensions, master trusts, insurance products incl. buy-ins/buy-outs and longevity products
• Exposure to contentious pensions matters within the team
• Develop junior and mid-level lawyers through high-quality work and mentorship
• Enjoy flexible and hybrid working within a leading UK pensions team
