Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment seeks a Pensions Solicitor (1-4 PQE) in Edinburgh to join a top-quality pensions team. You will work alongside renowned specialists on complex matters for trustees and employers, with exposure to a national UK practice while based in Edinburgh.

Qualifications

• Scottish-qualified solicitor with 1–4 PQE in a pensions practice.
• Commitment to building a long-term career within pensions.
• Experience advising trustees, employers or other pensions stakeholders.
• Strong technical, drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide pensions advice on governance, funding, restructuring and advisory matters across defined benefit and defined contribution schemes.
• Advise trustees and employers and related pensions stakeholders.
• Work with colleagues across the wider UK Pensions practice to deliver national coverage from Edinburgh.
• Develop and mentor junior and mid-level lawyers within the team.
• Engage in contentious pensions work when relevant to broaden client advice.
