Job summary

Simpson Judge is seeking a Pensions Solicitor in Liverpool to join a well‑established pensions team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of pensions matters, including private and public sector schemes, with a mix of advisory, transactional and documentation work.

You will work closely with senior colleagues, develop your technical and commercial skills, and participate in BD and client initiatives. The firm supports hybrid working and a competitive rewards package.

Qualifications

• 1–6 years of PQE in pensions.
• Strong technical and commercial pensions knowledge.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of pensions matters.
• Advise on private and public sector pension schemes.
• Advise on advisory, transactional and documentation work relating to pensions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Pensions Solicitor | 1–6 PQE | Liverpool | Hybrid

I’m currently working with a leading national law firm that is looking to strengthen its established Pensions team in Liverpool.

They’re looking for a Pensions Solicitor with around 1–6 years’ PQE who is looking for a role where they can continue to develop technically, work with a strong client base and get involved in a varied mix of pensions work.

The role will involve:

• Managing a varied caseload of pensions matters
• Advising on both private and public sector pension schemes
• Advising on a range of pensions‑related advisory, transactional and documentation work
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Working closely with senior members of the team
• Getting involved in business development, events and client initiatives
• Contributing to innovation and product development within the team

They’re looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially aware and genuinely interested in developing their career within pensions.

You’ll need good communication skills, be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team, and have a well‑organised and methodical approach to your work.
