Our data services cater to a broad range of clients with different UK pension administration operations. Solutions are delivered within our team, often in conjunction with other WTW business units or third parties.

We seek individuals with a strong understanding of the legacy Defined Benefit pension environment, including how member data is held, processed, and utilized by pension administrators. Technical expertise is essential to develop and implement solutions for various pension schemes. The role involves client interaction and collaboration with technical leads, project managers, and specialists. Responsibilities include delivering quality Data Solutions services, leading technical projects, and ensuring successful delivery and implementation, with a focus on excellence, client satisfaction, and good commercial outcomes.

The Role

  • Lead client projects by understanding their business requirements to tailor data solutions accordingly.
  • Provide advice and deliverables to Pension Managers, Trustee boards, and other key stakeholders, effectively liaising across different seniority levels.
  • Collaborate with Data Solutions leads and team members to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Develop data strategies and project plans, leading the team to meet client objectives.
  • Contribute to process and deliverable improvements across Data Solutions services.
  • Build effective relationships with administrators, actuaries, legal advisers, and client representatives.

Beyond client consulting, the candidate should be comfortable with business development and sales, demonstrating an interest in growing the business and enhancing their commercial skills. Attention to financial aspects such as scoping, time and budget management, and billing is required. Promoting best practices and introducing innovative ideas to meet client needs with a business focus is essential. The role requires self-motivation to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a dynamic environment.

What can we offer you?

The chance to develop your skills within a fast-growing, diverse, and collaborative team. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, including a pension scheme, life insurance, medical insurance, eye care vouchers, and flexible benefits such as critical illness cover and dental options.

The Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of UK Pension Scheme provisions and legislation.
  • Ability to communicate complex or technical information clearly and confidently to different audiences.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously.
  • Focus on client satisfaction balanced with business needs.
  • Proactive approach to ensuring client satisfaction and developing relationships.
  • Experience in leading and presenting at client meetings.
  • Experience managing financial aspects of projects, including pricing, scoping, and billing.
  • Knowledge of UK pension administration systems and processes.
  • Experience with data auditing, cleansing, and correction projects; GMP correction experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of manual benefit calculations and processes.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Self-starter with curiosity and ability to work with ambiguity.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

At WTW, we value diversity and inclusivity, fostering a welcoming environment where colleagues can bring their whole selves to work. We are committed to equal opportunity employment and embracing diversity in all forms.
