Royal Mail Group is hiring a Pensions Administrator in Sheffield. The role blends pensions administration with customer service to calculate and process benefits, resolve queries, and provide clear information to members of the Royal Mail Pension Plan.

Salary from £25,758 to £32,000 (subject to experience and relevant qualifications)
25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, and a company pension scheme with highly competitive employer contribution rates

Location: Royal Mail, Pond Street, Sheffield S98 6HR - hybrid working with 4 days in the office.

Looking for a career where accuracy, problem-solving and great customer service genuinely matter? Join our Pensions Service Centre in Sheffield as a Pensions Administrator and play an important role in delivering a high-quality service to members of the Royal Mail Pension Plan.

You'll combine pensions administration with customer service, using your numerical and analytical skills to calculate and process benefits, resolve queries and make sure members receive clear, accurate information. Just as importantly, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience across the Pensions Service Centre and build a specialist career in pensions.

About You
What we're looking for

You don't have to come from a traditional pensions background. We're looking for people who are customer-focused, organised, numerate and curious, with the confidence to learn and solve problems.

  • Strong Maths, Numeracy, and Analytical skills.
  • Advanced experience in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • A professional approach to customer service.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to work to demanding deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A flexible, collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Experience as a pension's practitioner with a broad understanding of DB and /or DC pensions - desirable
  • Educated to at least A level standard with strong English Language and Mathematics at GCSE level (grades C to A*) - desirable.
  • Possess a professional pensions qualification (e.g., Pensions Management Institute APE, CPA or DPA) - desirable.
