Exchange Street Recruitment is helping a growing national financial services business find a Senior Pensions Technical Specialist in Newcastle. You will interpret new pension rules, assess operational impact and guide colleagues on complex matters, acting as a technical reference across the operation.
For the first three months you’ll be in the Newcastle office around three days per week, then roughly two days every other week with the rest of your time working remotely.

This isn’t a traditional people-management job.
It’s much more of a player-coach / senior technical expert position. You’ll spend your time understanding pension legislation, regulatory change and technical developments, then working out what they actually mean operationally.

You won’t just know the rules.
Your job title matters less than your technical depth.
You could be working for a pension provider, platform, SIPP/SSAS operator, pension consultancy or occupational pensions business.
You may currently be a Pensions Technical Specialist, Technical Consultant, Senior Pensions Administrator, Pensions Consultant, Technical Manager or Pensions Specialist.
What matters is that when pension rules change, you’re already thinking about what they mean, where the risks are and what needs to happen next.
