Job summary

Hymans Robertson is seeking an Associate Risk Transfer Consultant to help clients manage pension risk through transactions transferring liabilities to the insurance market. You will work primarily with UK defined benefit schemes, collaborating with Trustees and Sponsoring Employers to deliver clear, high-quality advice at critical decision points.

The role offers variety and cross-disciplinary collaboration, with opportunities to grow expertise and shape a career path in pension risk transfer.

Qualifications

• Degree in numerate subject (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience.
• Strong progress through Institute and Faculty of Actuaries examinations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong IT capability.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple risk transfer projects with clear, robust client outputs.
• Coordinate work across teams and build trusted client relationships.
• Balance technical work with project management and client engagement.
• Deliver training sessions to clients.
• Prepare client invoices and maintain audit trails.
