Job summary

Hymans Robertson in the United Kingdom is seeking an Associate Risk Transfer Consultant to support pension risk transfer projects, helping clients move liabilities to the insurance market. You will work with Trustee Boards and Sponsoring Employers on UK defined benefit schemes, delivering clear, robust advisory outputs and shaping a career in this growing specialism.

The role blends technical work with project management, client engagement and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in a numerate subject (2:1+ preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Strong progress through IFoA examinations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong overall IT capability.
• Experience in pensions risk transfer and/or DB pensions (preferred).
• Understanding of UK pensions legislative framework.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of multiple risk transfer projects across teams.
• Coordinate work to deliver high-quality client outputs.
• Check calculations done by junior colleagues.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Manage delivery against project plans and escalate risks.
• Deliver training sessions to clients.
• Prepare client invoices in line with deadlines.
• Stay up to date with pensions legislation and market developments.
• Collaborate with Post-Transaction Team and other business areas.
• Adhere to Hymans' Information Security standards.
