Qualifications

• Experience in payroll administration within a regulated environment.
• Solid knowledge of PAYE, pension payroll legislation, taxation and RTI.
• Experience performing payroll reconciliations and analysing payroll reports.
• Strong problem-solving and investigation skills.
• Ability to manage strict payroll deadlines with high accuracy.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the processing and reconciliation of monthly and ad hoc pension payrolls.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and adherence to legislative requirements.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, and payroll validation processes.
• Handle complex payroll queries and escalations.
• Support the delivery of excellent customer service across multiple channels.
• Monitor operational activities and prioritise workload to meet payroll deadlines.
• Drive process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Support less experienced colleagues to develop capability and performance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best-practice payroll operations.
