Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pension Actuarial Consultant. The role holder will play a crucial role in ensuring that all client tasks and assignments are executed accurately and efficiently. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and coordinating letters and reports with minimal direction.
  • Supervising phases of actuarial valuations and special projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing material for and attending client meetings, making presentations to clients and prospects.
  • Implementing new services and assisting scheme consultants with pension scheme consultancy aspects.
  • Coordinating and reviewing project assignments to ensure timely and accurate work products.
  • Assisting in the development and presentation of proposals for consulting services.
  • Providing proactive consulting services and developing responsive solutions.
  • Attaining billable hours objectives by applying acquired skills in client deliverables.
  • Ensuring the timeliness and quality of work, completing tasks within budget.
  • Explaining and helping clients analyze options for addressing their needs.
  • Using relevant tools, including regulator’s guidance and accounting standards.
  • Maintaining contact with clients regarding work products and inquiries.
  • Seeking to grow client relationships and improve service efficiency.
  • Collaborating with other business lines on projects and client relations.
  • Assisting in preparing client invoices.
  • Hiring, training, and motivating junior staff, providing performance feedback.
  • Working effectively within a team environment.
  • Improving work processes, delegating, and supervising junior staff.
  • Acting on new opportunities and accepting challenges.
  • Maintaining knowledge of marketplace benefits products.
