Organisation and Planning: Produce a work programme with the Network Director and lead on the delivery of associated projects based on Pathology Network National, Regional and Local priorities (agreed by the entire network membership). Report project progress towards the delivery of the work programme at both Pathology Board and Peninsula Partnership Board/Acute Services Collaborative. Develop and maintain effective network structures/groups that enable the delivery of the Pathology work programme, engaging multi-professional teams from various health professionals and allied groups, including patient groups and voluntary agencies. Deliver effective pathology workflows through clinical collaboration for networked service provision. Take a whole system collaborative approach to service delivery, ensuring safe, effective, and sustainable services across the patient pathway, adding value for stakeholders. Lead and develop Improving Value schemes in collaboration with NHS England colleagues. Enhance cross-organisational multi-professional clinical engagement to improve care pathways.

Enable development of consistent provider guidance and improved services to national standards, ensuring a uniform patient and family experience. Manage network risks and escalate issues while influencing mitigation strategies. Focus on equity, quality, and productivity through facilitation and benchmarking, leading to service improvements. Play a vital role in delivering network strategy to implement national policies and best practices across the network area.

Support capacity planning, activity monitoring, and forecast planning across the sector in collaboration with Data Analytical staff and commissioning teams. Lead the planning and execution of network meetings and events with team members. Lead a broad range of stakeholders, including providers, commissioners, patient and family representatives, and third-sector partners, to support the network's core aims and objectives.

Manage the network team, ensuring performance and accountability to deliver against plans. Operate in a political and sensitive environment with matrix management responsibility for network administrators or coordinators. Foster a culture of collaboration across networks in the sector. Link proactively with Lead Commissioners, System Transformation Leads, Clinical Networks, Academic Health Science Networks, and Senate/ICB leads. Establish and maintain Pathology network links with Clinical Reference Groups, voluntary organizations, patient groups, Health Education England, and Public Health England.
