Job summary

Wavenet is seeking IT Security Consultants at the CHECK Team Member level within the Penetration Testing team. The role involves conducting CHECK and commercial engagements, documenting findings in technical reports, and traveling to client sites as needed.

A degree is not required and the position is home-based with occasional travel and overnight stays. Candidates should hold CTM status, UK PraCSP or higher, and SC clearance, with experience in scripting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Hold CHECK Team Member status with a minimum of two years currency at this level.
• Hold UK Cyber Security Council PraCSP or higher accreditation.
• Proven experience in the delivery of IT security engagements.
• Solid understanding of computer networking and operating systems, particularly Unix-like systems.
• Knowledge of penetration testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Team player with good English language skills and report writing ability.
• Ability to produce detailed vulnerability reports with remediation recommendations.
• Existing UK Security Check (SC) clearance or higher as required.
• Experience scripting and coding languages.
• OSCP certification or equivalent training.
• Own method of transport.

Responsibilities

• Conduct government CHECK engagements and commercial engagements.
• Document findings in technical reports submitted to clients.
• Travel to client and Wavenet locations as required, including overnight stays.
• Work from home with occasional travel to client sites.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver thorough security engagements.
