Job Description:

The Industry Assurance team in Cyber Growth runs the Assured Penetration Testing Scheme on behalf of a public sector client, which mandates or strongly recommends such testing across all departments and infrastructure.

The team assesses the methodology and work of all scheme members from initial application through their participation. Members are supported to improve or, in extreme cases, removed from the scheme.

We require an individual with experience as a senior penetration tester responsible for quality assurance of other testers' outputs, ideally in an operational environment. Experience as an assessor for a penetration testing exam body is also desirable.

Previous experience in the Scheme is preferred but current contracts should be avoided to prevent conflicts of interest.

The candidate should also have experience as a senior member of an adversary simulation team, overseeing and quality assuring team outputs.

The role involves:

• Sampling reports throughout the year to ensure standards and technical capability.
• Sampling reports from new Team Leaders and providing coaching or remedial support as needed.
• Processing new applications from companies wishing to join the Scheme.

SC Clearance is required for this position.

The role is primarily remote (90%), with occasional meetings in Gloucestershire or London.
