Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) is seeking an experienced Registered Children’s Nurse to join the paediatric unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The role includes the children’s observation unit and inpatient ward with occasional cross-site work at Bassetlaw CAU, paediatric ED and Neonatal Unit.

You will have at least one year’s clinical experience and have completed a preceptorship.

Qualifications

• Registered Children’s Nurse with current registration and willingness to complete post-registration CPD.
• Completion of a preceptorship period and evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience of caring for children and families within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care based on family-centred care principles.
• Act as a role model within a multidisciplinary team and support junior staff.
• Participate in education and continued professional development for yourself and the team.
• Provide care to children aged 0–16 and their families, with occasional cross-site duties.
