Job summary
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Symptom and Palliative Care for Children and Young People. This part‑time role involves leading high-quality symptom and palliative care for CYP with cancer, working within CYPOONS and alongside the Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Care across care settings.

Qualifications
- Nursing qualification with pediatric focus and palliative care experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and educate across teams.
- Experience or involvement in research related to pediatric care.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and clinical leadership for CYPs with symptom and palliative care needs across care settings.
- Act as an expert clinical resource for CYPs, families and healthcare professionals across care settings.
- Coordinate with MDTs across Royal Marsden Hospital, PCTs, POSCUs to manage care across settings.
- Support CYPs and families with community visits to hospital, home or hospice.
- Demonstrate clinical autonomy and sound judgment in advising teams.
- Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota when competent and a vacancy exists.
