Job summary

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist in Symptom and Palliative Care for Children and Young People. The role is part-time and based at the Royal Marsden sites, contributing to high-quality pediatric palliative care across care settings.

You will lead and educate, act as a clinical expert, and work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care for CYPs with cancer.

Qualifications

• Registration as a nurse with children’s specialty.
• Registered children’s nurse with relevant pediatric oncology experience.
• Teaching qualification and willingness for higher degree.
• First level degree in nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for CYPs with symptom and palliative care needs across care settings.
• Act as expert clinical resource for CYP symptom and palliative care.
• Support MDTs across hospitals, PCTs, POSCUs and community settings.
• Coordinate community visits and hospital/home/hospice care.
• Demonstrate clinical autonomy and judgment in patient care.
