Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is looking for a per diem MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging studies for pediatric patients. This position will require adhering to established protocols for patient safety and collaborating with anesthesia staff.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and 3 years of MRI experience. The pay rate is set at $51.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, ensuring competitive compensation for skilled professionals.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 3 years’ MRI experience required in neuro, body, musculoskeletal and vascular areas.
• Strong computer skills in multiple databases for the acquisition and manipulation of image data.

Responsibilities

• Produces and evaluates images according to defined protocols for treatment plans.
• Maintains required levels of education related to clinical care.
• Supports anesthesia staff in collaboration with Radiology nursing staff.

POSITION SUMMARY: MRI Technologist Per Diem

performs complete and diagnostic Magnetic Resonance imaging studies of pediatric patients for radiologist interpretation.

Key Accountabilities

• Produces and evaluates images according to defined protocols to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams for treatment and plan of care for patients
• Adheres to Radiology specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, regulatory, and accreditation governing bodies
• Maintains required levels of education that pertain to clinical, family, and patient centered care
• Protects and complies with Magnetic Resonance Zone safety possessing knowledge of restrictions and contraindications; screens patient for contraindications to MRI and contrast administration in compliance with ACR guideline for MR Safety
• Supports anesthesia staff in collaboration with Radiology nursing staff to prepare and monitor sedated patients in the MRI environment

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program
• 3 years’ MRI experience required in neuro, body, musculoskeletal and vascular areas
• A.R.R.T. (R) (MR); Florida Radiography License; Current Basic Life Support, AHA
• Strong computer skills in multiple databases for the acquisition and manipulation of image data, utilizing 3d, neuro-functional post-processing workstations, PACS and electronic charting
• MRI contrast administration with IV skills

Shift

PRN’s are as needed. It could be the MRI Technologist is utilized anytime (days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays) whenever the staffing model warrants additional support.

Status

Casual / On-Call

Salary Range

Minimum 51.00/hour - Maximum 51.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
