Responsibilities

• Escort patients throughout their journey in the department.
• Provide support to children and their families.
• Minor injury care (e.g, wound care, plaster application, burns dressings).
• Supporting nursing teams with assessments of patients.
• Caring for children and families in the resuscitation area.
• Communicate effectively with children of different ages.
• Assist with personal care where appropriate.
• To assist with blood taking and cannulation.
• Escalate concerns as identified.
• Support students/ junior members of staff when able.
• To document effectively.
