Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a specialist eating disorder dietitian to support a countywide children’s eating disorders service. The role involves clinic facilitation, assessments with paediatricians, MDT collaboration, and cross-clinical appointments.

The postholder will be supported by two clinical leads and will work across community settings, contributing to audits and service development. This is a permanent, NHS community role with flexible patterns.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent leading to HPC registration.
• Registration as a Dietitian.
• A teaching qualification or experience of teaching groups.
• Experience delivering dietetic services in the community and in mental health settings.
• Postgraduate diploma level or equivalent advanced clinical training.

Responsibilities

• To plan and deliver a high quality Nutrition and Dietetic service to this area and contribute to service development as required.
• To work as a senior autonomous practitioner delivering a high quality dietetic service in Cornwall Foundation Trust.
• To help to support and/or establish audit and robust evaluation of the dietetic service.
• To have a high level of knowledge, skills and experience and deal with situations in a timely and empathic manner.
• To be responsible for nutrition and dietetic participation in multi-professional teams and contribute to policy making as directed by the head of service.
• To work as a key member of the Multi-disciplinary Team.
• To work as a key member of the Dietitians Mental Health Team within Cornwall Foundation Trust.
