Job summary

Julia's House in Swindon is seeking a qualified complementary therapist to join the Complementary Therapy Team. The role involves delivering sessions to children and families in the hospice and at family homes, with occasional cover at the Dorset hospice, and requires a Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology plus massage and another therapy, plus three years' experience.

Flexibility for evenings, weekends and school holidays is essential, with driving and business-use insurance needed for home visits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology required.
• Massage qualification plus at least one other complementary therapy (e.g., aromatherapy, reflexology, Indian head massage, Reiki or mindfulness).
• Minimum of three years' experience as a therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality complementary therapy treatments in the hospice and in family homes.
• Assess referrals for complementary therapy.
• Plan and deliver individualised sessions for children, young people, parents, carers and siblings.
• Tailor your approach to the needs of each person supported.
• Work as part of the Complementary Therapy Team and wider Family Support Team.
• Provide occasional cover at the Dorset hospice during periods of absence.
• Attend meetings and provide support at Julia's House locations as needed.
