Job summary

Academics are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Graduate Sports Assistant to join an outstanding school in Ealing from October. The role blends PE, sports coaching, 1:1 SEN support and academic intervention within a supportive school environment.

You will work with the PE Department delivering lessons, extracurricular activities and sport development, while developing coaching, classroom management and leadership skills to help students participate in physical activity.

Qualifications

• Sports degree with 2:1 or higher.
• Strong coaching ability with confidence in coaching.
• Experience or willingness to provide 1:1 student support.
• Experience in education settings or with children desirable.
• Passion for sport, education and working with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support PE lessons, extracurricular activities and sporting development.
• Deliver sports coaching and contribute to pupil development.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group academic support across years 7–9.
• Help pupils access learning and participate in school life.
• Collaborate with teachers to provide intervention and support as required.
