Job summary

Wrenn School in England is offering a PE Teaching Assistant Apprentice post on a fixed-term contract of about 19 months. The role supports PE lessons, school sport, clubs, fixtures and events under experienced PE staff.

Delivered as Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with a sports pathway, the program includes structured training, mentoring from school staff, and off-the-job learning through LMP Education. Pay rises to National Minimum Wage after 12 months.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 3 or above, or willingness to work towards them.

Responsibilities

• Support PE lessons alongside experienced PE staff.
• Support school sports clubs, fixtures, competitions and events.
• Help students develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity.
• Support teaching and learning and promote positive behaviour.
• Contribute to pupil wellbeing and encourage healthy lifestyles through physical activity.
• Support inclusive participation for all learners.
