PE Teacher in SEN School

Location: East of England, Essex, Southend-on-Sea

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Secondary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £28,000 - £44,000 per annum

Job Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons to students with Special Educational Needs
  • Adapt teaching methods to cater to the individual needs and abilities of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support the holistic development of students
Required Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Specialism in Physical Education

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs

- Knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and techniques

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs

- First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

- Work hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

- Classroom-based teaching with some outdoor activities

- Collaborative work environment with support from SEN specialists

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
