Job summary

Smile Education are recruiting a passionate PE Teacher to work in a UK secondary school in Shrewsbury. You will inspire students to participate in sport and develop their confidence through physical education.

The role includes planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, GCSE PE preparation, monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback, while promoting inclusion and excellent behaviour in class.

Qualifications

• Qualified PE Teacher or ECT.

The Role

• Planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teaching GCSE PE where required, including preparation for examinations and practical assessments.
• Encouraging participation, teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles.
• Adapting lessons to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, including those with SEND.
• Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback to support student development.
• Managing behaviour effectively and building positive relationships with students.
• Working collaboratively with the PE department to support the wider curriculum and extracurricular sporting activities.
