Smile Education are recruiting a passionate PE Teacher to work in a UK secondary school in Shrewsbury. You will inspire students to participate in sport and develop their confidence through physical education.

The role includes planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, GCSE PE preparation, monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback, while promoting inclusion and excellent behaviour in class.

Qualifications

• Qualified PE Teacher or ECT.
• Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school.
• Strong understanding of the secondary PE curriculum.
• GCSE PE teaching experience desirable.
• Motivates and engages students through sport.
• Strong communication and behaviour management.
• Flexible, reliable and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach GCSE PE including exams and practicals.
• Encourage participation, teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles.
• Adapt lessons for SEND and varied abilities.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Manage behaviour and build positive relationships.
• Collaborate with PE department and support extracurricular activities.
