Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Female PE Specialist to join a vibrant secondary school in Runcorn. This full-time role is a temporary cover position to support the PE department while a permanent staff member is absent. There will also be opportunities for ongoing work in other local schools once this placement ends.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire a passion for physical education and healthy living in students.
  • Support the school by assisting with general cover duties across different departments during lighter timetable periods.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching PE within a secondary school environment is essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
  • A genuine passion for Physical Education and inspiring young people.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different subjects for general cover.
  • Reliable, flexible, and proactive in supporting the wider school community.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive working relationships.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
