Job summary

Supply Desk in Heathfield is seeking a qualified Supply PE Teacher to cover secondary lessons across KS3 and KS4. The role offers flexible daily, short-term and long-term arrangements, with hours 08:30–15:30 and a competitive daily rate.

You will deliver engaging PE sessions, adapt to different school environments, manage practical activities safely, and monitor pupil progress according to each school's policies. A DBS Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across diverse PE activities.
• Ability to manage practical lessons safely.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain DBS via Update Service.

Position: Supply PE Teacher (Secondary)

Location: Heathfield

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Contract Type: Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Supply (Part-Time & Full-Time Available)

Daily Rate: £130-£145 per day for daily supply | Paid to scale for long-term roles with PPA

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across a range of sports and physical education activities.
• Ability to manage practical lessons safely and effectively.
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
