Job summary

Supply Desk is assisting a friendly and forward-thinking secondary school in Hayes to appoint an energetic PE Teacher for a September start. You will deliver a broad PE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting physical wellbeing and teamwork, with support for GCSE PE where applicable.

This role offers pay aligned with MPS/UPS, long-term stability, and access to CPD and safeguarding training through a dedicated local education consultant.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent required.
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
  • ECTs welcome with PE placements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across a range of sports and activities.
  • Teach both practical and theory-based PE where required.
  • Support students working towards GCSE PE (if applicable).
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork and sportsmanship.
  • Plan inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all abilities.
  • Ensure lessons are delivered safely and effectively.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and positive engagement.
  • Organise and contribute to extracurricular sports activities.
  • Work collaboratively within the PE department and school community.

Supply Desk is recruiting on behalf of a friendly and forward‑thinking secondary school in Hayes, who are looking to appoint an energetic and committed PE Teacher for a September start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PE specialist who is passionate about promoting physical wellbeing, teamwork, and lifelong participation in sport.

Your Contribution

As a PE Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a broad and engaging Physical Education curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards physical activity.

  • Delivering high‑quality PE lessons across a range of sports and activities
  • Teaching both practical and theory‑based PE where required
  • Supporting students working towards GCSE PE (if applicable)
  • Promoting healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and sportsmanship
  • Planning inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all abilities
  • Ensuring lessons are delivered safely and effectively

Who We’re Keen to Hear From
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary school level

  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and resilient teaching style
