PE TEACHER - Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school located in Totton, Hampshire, to appoint a committed and enthusiastic PE Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in September 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an inclusive and engaging PE curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, promoting physical health, teamwork, and personal development. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative department that places student wellbeing and achievement at the heart of its practice.
This role is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, with opportunities for professional growth throughout the placement.
ROLE DETAILS:
Location: Totton, Hampshire
Position: PE Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Type of Work: Secondary PE Teaching (KS3 & KS4)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Duration: Initially until the end of the academic year (with potential for extension)
Daily Pay Rate: From £162.31 per day (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, including parents' evenings and staff meetings as required
CANDIDATES WILL NEED:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality PE lessons
Previous experience teaching PE at secondary level preferred
A proactive and adaptable approach to classroom teaching
Up-to-date safeguarding training (or a willingness to complete this)
TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK WITH TEACHING PERSONNEL, YOU MUST:
Hold the right to work in the UK
Have an enhanced child workforce DBS registered with the Update Service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
Be able to provide two recent, child-related professional references
