Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well‑respected secondary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated PE Teacher for a position starting immediately or in January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled PE educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Minimum 6 months of classroom PE teaching in a UK secondary setting.
• Passionate about Physical Education and student achievement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 PE curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Derby
• Plan, prepare, and assess PE lessons in line with department policy
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
• Lead extra‑curricular sports clubs and school fixtures
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required

Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Qualification: QTS required

The Ideal Candidate
