Job summary

Education Personnel are partnering with a Derby secondary school to recruit a dedicated PE Teacher for an immediate start or January 2027. The role covers KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5, offering a supportive department and opportunities to lead extra-curricular activities.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, has at least 6 months of UK secondary PE teaching, and demonstrates excellent behaviour management and communication skills to engage students and contribute to school life.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• At least 6 months of classroom PE teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Ability to teach KS3/KS4 and possibly KS5 in Derby.

Responsibilities

• Deliver KS3 & KS4 PE curriculum; KS5 teaching available if experienced in Derby.
• Plan, prepare, and assess PE lessons in line with department policy.
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions.
• Lead extra-curricular sports clubs and school fixtures.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents' evenings as required.

Pay Rate: £130-£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
