Full-Time PE Teacher – Chichester, West Sussex

Do you have a passion for promoting physical fitness and well-being in students?

If so, GSL Education are proud to present an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Chichester, starting this September 2025. This full-time position comes with a competitive annual salary between £30,000 to £50,000, dependent on experience, and offers an enriching environment where your impact will be felt both inside and outside the classroom.

This progressive and supportive school embraces applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and seasoned educators. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a school tour—an excellent opportunity to experience the setting first-hand before moving forward to a formal interview. Interview sessions are scheduled to take place over the next few weeks.

Responsibilities of the PE Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Encourage participation and enthusiasm for physical activity and healthy living.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular sporting events, clubs, and inter-school competitions.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the overall well-being and academic progress of pupils.

Requirements of the PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching Physical Education is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best in PE.
  • Commitment to promoting a love for physical fitness and a curiosity about the world of sports.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in physical education is desirable.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
