Job summary

Brighton & Hove Albion Foundation is seeking a PE Lead Coach to inspire pupils across East Sussex. Based at 136 Freshfield Road, the role delivers high-quality PE sessions in schools and community venues, 32–35 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a 1-year fixed-term contract.

You will manage venue operations, conduct risk assessments, and act as the first point of contact for parents and school partners while upholding safeguarding and inclusion across activities.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience delivering physical education in school settings.
  • Ability to keep children engaged across a range of sports.
  • Certifications listed: UEFA C Licence or above; FA Emergency First Aid; FA Safeguarding Children.

What is the role? Are you ready to inspire the next generation through sport and make an impact in local schools and communities? There will be at least 32 hours a week of high-quality delivery in this role. Your sessions will be engaging and inclusive and be tailored to your audience. You will manage venue operations, and conduct risk assessments to ensure a safe environment at all times. As the face of the program, you will also act as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for parents and school partners.

Am I right for this role? We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for physical education and knows how to keep children engaged, motivated, and learning across a variety of sports. You will have extensive experience delivering physical education within school settings across a range of sports. You must be adaptable under pressure, and approach challenges with a positive, pragmatic mindset. To be successful in this role, you must hold

  • UEFA C Licence or above
  • FA Emergency First Aid certificate
  • FA Safeguarding Children certificate
