Job summary

Rainhill High School in Prescot, Merseyside, is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor and PE Technician to join our team. You will supervise lessons, support learning and contribute to PE and extracurricular activities, ensuring high standards when regular teachers are absent.

The role requires strong behaviour management, organisational skills and a commitment to safeguarding, with opportunities to develop across PE and school-wide activities. Permanent, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of national curriculum and classroom management.
• Experience supporting learning for children and young people.
• GCSE level education or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake cover supervisor duties during staff absence.
• Supervise whole classes and support learning in PE and other lessons.
• Assist in organising cover for absent staff and PE admin tasks.
• Support the delivery of extracurricular PE programmes and Duke of Edinburgh.
