Job summary

The Westminster School in Rowley Regis is seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to deliver high-quality physical education and promote healthy, active lifestyles across the school. This permanent post supports curriculum delivery and inter-school activities, contributing to a vibrant sports culture within the campus.

Role requires experience in schools, Level 3 coaching qualification, and strong organisational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school setting and delivering PE.
• Level 3 coaching qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
• Strong organisational and communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of school sport environments and Primary PE provision.
• Positive role model with enthusiasm for sport.

Responsibilities

• Lead PE lessons to support teachers’ PPA time.
• Work alongside staff to model effective PE practice.
• Organise and lead lunchtime activities.
• Support the delivery of the PE curriculum.
• Assist with inter-school competitions and events.
• Maintain and prepare sports equipment.
• Assess pupils’ progress and contribute to reporting.
• Support planning and monitoring of Sports Premium.
