The Gateway School in Northampton is seeking a dynamic Sports & Physical Education Coach to plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions, promote active participation, and support a wide range of sports activities for students.

You will lead inter-school events, work with external bodies, and help foster a lifelong commitment to health and fitness while upholding safeguarding and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver coaching sessions that promote participation in PE and school sport.
• Organise inter-school and intra-school competitions to foster teamwork.
• Act as the school link to Northamptonshire Sport and external bodies.
• Encourage pupils to stay active and develop a lifelong fitness mindset.
• Promote inclusion by removing barriers to participation.
• Support extracurricular sports and out-of-school activities.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to boost engagement.
• Assist with school trips, lunchtime activities, and before/after school programs.
