Job summary

Arc School Ansley, part of Kedleston Group, is seeking a PE and Outdoor Education Teacher to inspire students across KS3/KS4. You will lead engaging lessons, assess progress and support SEND learners within a nurturing team.

The role includes contributing to extracurricular activities, educational visits, and school improvement efforts, with a commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• QTS is required to teach in the UK.
• Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4.
• Experience with SEND and ASC.

What you’ll be doing as a PE and Outdoor Education Teacher:

• Lead and deliver engaging PE and Outdoor Education lessons across KS3 and KS4

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• A qualification in SEND education is desirable
• Experience of teaching PE at KS3 and KS4
• Experience of working with children and young people with SEND and ASC
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Opened in 2014, Arc School Ansley is an independent specialist day school in Ansley, a lovely small village, for children and young people aged between 11 and 17.

Our experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, who may have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.

Arc School Ansley is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education and care for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). These include autistic spectrum condition (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
