Job summary

Manpower UK in Grimsby is recruiting a PDI Technician to join a busy automotive operation. The role involves pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, verifying functions, systems and equipment prior to handover, with full training provided.

This contract daytime position offers Monday–Friday hours, a £12.71 per hour rate, immediate starts, and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry within a professional team.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 21 or over.
• Hold a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
• Have no more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Automotive/vehicle prep or mechanical experience is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Reliable with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Checking vehicle functions, systems and equipment are operating correctly.
• Inspecting vehicles for cosmetic damage or defects.
• Completing quality control checks to meet standards.
• Fitting accessories and carrying out minor adjustments.
• Maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Supporting preparation of vehicles for dispatch and handover.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
