Job summary

Manpower is hiring a PDI Technician in Grimsby. You will perform pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, verify systems function correctly, inspect for cosmetic defects, and assist in preparing vehicles for handover.

Full training is provided and employment is full-time with immediate starts. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, plus a valid UK driving licence with up to six points.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 21 or over.
• Hold a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
• Have no more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Previous automotive, vehicle preparation, PDI or mechanical experience is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Reliable with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
• Checking vehicle functions, systems and equipment are operating correctly
• Inspecting vehicles for any cosmetic damage or defects
• Completing quality control checks to ensure vehicles meet company standards
• Fitting accessories and carrying out minor adjustments where required
• Maintaining accurate inspection records and documentation
• Supporting the preparation of vehicles for dispatch and customer handover
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
